Energy is mass multiplied by velocity. When golfing, the stance of the player is just as important for the drive.
During the drive, the club hits the golf ball with a weight of approx. 1000 kg. The slight turning movement and the upturn then accelerates the ball to speed up to 250 km/h.
The drive is a combination of momentum, rotation and position. To represent this in a frozen statue would not do the complex process enough justice.
The new sculpture “The Drive” depicts the movement, dynamics and power as a long exposure in its entity. Not as single frozen time frame, but captured as a dynamic movement process between rotation, swing and body position..
